Jenny Clendenen Walicek is a freelance writer whose essays, poetry, and scholarship have appeared in academic and literary journals as well as other media. She holds a BA in English from San Jose State University, where she received numerous awards for her critical and creative writing, and from which she graduated summa cum laude with departmental honors.  Jenny is currently pursuing her MFA in creative nonfiction, tutoring, and conducting literature enrichment workshops for children.
